What a character consistent AI girlfriend locks in
- Face and facial features
- Body type
- Hair colour and style, unless you change it in Edit My AI
- Eye colour and skin tone
- Style, realistic or anime
These come straight from the Create AI builder. Swipey describes the result as a "character-locked face and body", and the same lock applies whether she is sending a selfie in chat, appearing in a 60-second video scene or being animated from a photo. Change the design in Edit My AI and every future render follows the new version; the old images stay in your Gallery as they were.
What varies per request
- Outfit and accessories
- Location and background
- Pose, expression and lighting
- Video motion and duration, up to 60 seconds
This is where the location and scenario you set in the builder earn their keep. Ask for a photo "from the café before opening" and the background follows the story while her face stays the same. Realistic characters render with natural lighting and expressions; anime characters keep the same design lock with bolder colour and motion, and the style guide covers the trade-off. Group Chat scenes, where two or three characters share a frame, hold each character's design as well.
Getting better results
- Ask in context. "Send me one from the café you mentioned" beats "send a photo". The quick-action buttons in chat work the same way, and a placeholder frame appears immediately so you know the request landed.
- Use the inline edit. Since 1 September 2026 a pencil icon on chat images opens an edit prompt, so you can change the outfit, the light or the pose without regenerating from scratch and without touching her design.
- Animate what works. Any photo can become a video. You choose the duration, and you can extend a scene from chat when the first clip lands well. Longer videos are built as multi-scene clips, and the lock holds across scenes.
- Change the design deliberately. If you want a new hair colour, change it in Edit My AI rather than asking for it in a prompt, so every future render agrees. The Edit My AI guide covers what else you can change.
Consistency is also why the first two minutes matter. Spend them on the face and hair rather than the outfit; the creation mistakes page explains why.
The lock runs through every place she appears. Her first photo on joining is free and already uses the design you set. Level-ups open a reward drop with three cards, Teasing, Intimate or Full Show, and the video behind the card is rendered with the same face and body. Swipey also has a standalone image generator at /generate for images outside the chat, built around the same "generate images that stay consistent" promise. A limited number of images is included free; the rest, and all video, come with Premium.
Where the images live
In your account, in the Gallery, with no public galleries by default. Swipey states that conversations are encrypted in transit and at rest and that data is never sold or shared with third parties. Generated content becomes visible to others only if you publish a character through the Creator Community, which opened on 23 September 2026. Once she is public, media generated for her is posted on her profile, and you can hide individual posts. Everything else stays yours. Full image generation and video are Premium features; the pricing page lists what $7.99 a month includes.
Frequently asked questions
Will my AI girlfriend look the same in every picture?
Yes. Swipey AI locks face, body type, hair, eye colour and skin tone from the builder into every image and video, which it describes as "same face, same body, every render". Outfit, background, pose and expression change with each request; her identity does not.
Can I edit an image she sent?
Yes. Since 1 September 2026 a pencil icon on images in chat opens an inline edit prompt. You describe the change, such as a different outfit or lighting, and the image updates without regenerating from scratch. Her locked design stays the same through the edit.
Are her images public?
No, not unless you publish her. Generated images live in your account's Gallery, with no public galleries by default. If you publish a character through the Creator Community, live since 23 September 2026, media generated for her is posted on her public profile, and you can hide individual posts. Swipey states data is never sold or shared.
