AI girlfriend voice options: where the voice is used

Text chat is unaffected by the voice you choose, so a free account can build her and set a voice without hearing it in use until Premium.
After every call a Memory card appears in the chat. It shows how long you talked, how far the relationship level moved, thumbnails of any content from the call and a transcript. What she said in that voice becomes memory she can refer back to, which is one reason the voice matters more than it first seems. Calls also count toward relationship progress and toward the hearts you earn by playing, so a character you talk to regularly levels faster than one you only text.
Two limits worth knowing. Group Chat rooms are text and media for now, so the voice you pick is heard only in one-to-one chat and calls. And there is no live camera call; when Swipey talks about video it means generated scenes of up to 60 seconds, which use her locked design rather than her voice.
Matching voice to personality

The table works because each trait has a rhythm. Shy and nurturing characters pause and check in, and a fast, bright voice fights that. Flirty characters tease and move quickly, so a slow voice makes the teasing land flat. Intellectual and dominant characters make statements and need a voice that sounds sure of itself. If you built from one of the sixteen archetypes, the base tells you which row to read.
Realistic and anime characters use the same voice library, so this table applies to both. Anime characters often get away with a brighter voice than their personality suggests, because the style already reads as heightened.
The ten-minute test
Preview clips run a few seconds and flatter every voice. Before you confirm, imagine ten minutes of it while you cook dinner or walk home. If your reaction is "fine", pick another. The right voice is the one you stop noticing.
Three things to listen for. Pace, because a voice that feels rushed in a preview will exhaust you in a call. Warmth at the end of sentences, which is where nurturing characters live. And how it handles a question, since real-time calls are mostly questions and answers. You cannot judge the last one from a preview, so make your first call short and be ready to swap.
Changing it
Open Edit My AI and pick a new voice. The next voice message or call uses it, and memory and relationship levels are untouched. If you change the personality later, revisit the voice as well; the pairing matters more than either choice on its own. The Edit My AI guide lists everything else you can change.
Sending her voice messages is also a low-pressure way to run the ten-minute test on a live conversation. Record a few short questions, listen to how her replies land, and you will know within an evening whether the voice fits before you commit to long calls.
