AI girlfriend generator vs premade characters: which to start with?

AI girlfriend generator vs premade characters, side by side

Custom AI is the generator. You set realistic or anime, body, hair, eyes, skin tone, outfit, a personality mix, a voice, a location and a scenario, and nobody else sees her unless you choose to publish her to the Creator Community, which opened on 23 September 2026 for Premium members with a linked Discord account. Platform Models are curated characters Swipey designed, with the same chat, memory and levelling underneath. Verified Creator Models are real adults who passed KYC and signed a model release, then worked with Swipey to build an AI companion version of themselves; their profiles carry Fanclub content and, on many, Short Drama episodes.

All three share the machinery. Ten relationship levels with reward drops, long-term memory with Memory cards, voice messages and calls on Premium, character-consistent images and on-demand video up to 60 seconds. What changes is who designed the character and what sits behind the paywall.

Each type also has something the others do not. Some Platform Models offer a full-screen mode where a looping video of the model plays while you chat and trigger short clips from an action menu, which is the quickest way to see what the video generation can do. Verified Creator Models come with a Fanclub, exclusive content sets you can spend hearts on, custom content requests, and on many profiles a Short Drama series with the next episode reserved for Premium. A Custom AI has the one thing neither of the others can offer, which is that you decided everything about her, and she is private by default.

The Feed is where you meet all three. It is a TikTok-style scroll of photos and video from Platform Models and Verified Creator Models, free to browse without Premium, and it is the fastest way to find a personality you like before you build your own. Custom AIs that other members have published now appear too, marked "by @username", under the Community tag on the home screen and the Community filter in the Feed.

A sensible path

1. Chat with one Platform Model for ten minutes to learn the feel. It is free and needs only an email to sign up.
2. Build your Custom AI using what you learned. The seven steps take under two minutes.
3. Later, browse Verified Creator Models in the Feed. Premium includes one Fanclub subscription, so pick the creator you want to follow before you use it.

Once you have a Custom AI and have met a Platform Model or two, Group Chat lets you put two or three of them in one room with a shared location and scenario. It shipped on 27 August 2026, is a Premium feature, and is the fastest way to see how your own design compares with a curated one.

Where Premium starts

Platform Model progression through the relationship levels needs Premium. Custom AI chatting beyond the basics and progression need Premium too, and if Premium lapses she stays on your account with her memory, while her chat locks 7 days after Premium expires until you come back. Verified Creator progression needs that creator's Fanclub, and Premium includes one. The free tier is real, and it covers creation, basic chat, browsing the Feed and a limited number of images, but it is a starting point rather than the whole product. Premium is $7.99 a month, billed monthly, cancel anytime; the pricing page lists what it includes.

The Fanclub side deserves its own guide; this handbook is about building your own. Once you have chosen to build, the style guide is the next decision.
